Brand new Toshiba laptop running slow?

Question by Ladybug: Brand new Toshiba laptop running slow?
I got a new Toshiba laptop for Christmas and I have Norton as my security and I do defrags every week but it runs a bit slow sometimes and it shouldn’t do this. Does anyone know what could cause this and how to fix it?
i have 2gb 800 SDRAM

I would buy new RAM for it as it only comes with 1gb or even maybe 512mb! My dad had to get more RAM because it only had 512mb which is ultra slow. Ask for DDr2 RAM from a computer place and you can buy it from there.
