Just give me a brand and model of a FAST desktop or laptop. I will soon buy it. How do the modern day computers, with the dual core and quad core processors, compare to the ones 5 to 10 years ago, that were rated in gigahertz? I want one, like a gaming computer, that would compare to like a 4 gigahertz or higher pc. thanks!

i cant rili say, it all depends on hwo much cash ur looking to spend. the best way is just to shop around and ask the experts because that way u actuly no what ur getting and they no what there talking bout.

the macbook pros are obviously very fast but with a hefty pricetag… several sony vaios are also very high quality notebooks(i own one ofthere) ive also heard very good things about the lenovo thinkpads if youd wanna look online at those
Dont buy an aleinware aleinware was bought by dell so all your doing is paying more money for a dell with a different name. you best bet is to look at your budget and customize your laptop.
macbook pro or alienware, also digital storm is awesome, the best would be voodoo pc but those are extremely expensive
i wouldnt go for a sony anything…mainly cuz ur gona be paying about an extra 300 to 400 dls jus cuz its sony… there are some sonys out there that cost 1800 dls and it has the same speed and less memory as an hp that costs 700 dls….thats a gigantic difference.if you want something for gaming that has more than a 4 ghz processor ( crazy high by the way) try the alienware Aurora-101B it has a 3600 mhz system bus which is RIDICULOUS! and 2 amd Phenom quad core processor with 2.2 ghz each processor thats 2.2 times 4!!!! and 4 gb of memory expandable to 16 gb with a whole gb of video memory!!! its insane!!!
